What I Find When We Open a Seattle Kitchen Wall

Last year we started a project in a 1967 Beacon Hill rambler. The homeowners wanted a straightforward open-concept conversion, take out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room, combine the two into one connected space. They'd seen it done on every home renovation show. They figured it was a weekend's work for a crew.
